My fav TV shows!!

As I post this blog, I am fairly certain no one really cares what TV shows happen to capture my attention these days but as summer rolls around, I am wanting to pay tribute to the mindless drama that keeps me entertained throughout the winter!

Weeds is a Showtime wonder about a suburban mom turned marijuana dealer. Love it!

Every new season of The Bachelor/Bacelorette I SWEAR I won't watch but I just can't resist the awkward and often embarrasing shenanigans of the men and women trying to find love on national TV!
The Office is one of the BEST shows on TV. Nuff said!

United States of Tara is hilarious! Diablo Cody (Juno writer) created this show about a family who's mom has multiple personality disorder. Whenever she is stressed, she transforms into one of her alternate personalities: wild and flirty teenager T; old-fashioned housewife Alice; a male, loud, beer-drinking Vietnam vet Buck; a wierd little farrel creature, Gimme; Tara's "therapist" of sorts, Shoshanna; and an infantile representation of Tara when she was 5 years old, Chicken. Awesome!
Glee is great because it has AMAZING music and pretty great acting also. The kids in the show are hilarious and it totally reminds me of my high school days in show choir! Just kidding, I was never in show choir but I totally would have been after seeing this show!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta, New York, New Jersey and Orange County are possibly the trashiest TV shows I watch! I am totally addicted to these crazy bitches!!! Garry judges me each and every time I flip to Bravo but I endure hours of his snarky comments and open judgement if it means I get to enjoy these ladies going at each other like a bunch of badgers hopped up on crack! LOVE THEM ALL!!!!

Nurse Jackie is another brilliant Showtime drama about a nurse addicted to prescription pain pills. Edie Falco's character is hilarious and super bitchy...I heart Jackie!

Big Love is about poligamy. By bestie Allison is addicted to all things poligamy so I started watching this show so I could relate to her more...it's pretty fabulous.

I secretly want to own a bakery and bake fabulous wedding cakes and super yummy pastries so Ace of Cakes and The Cake Boss are super fun to watch. They come up with some of the most amazing designs for cakes.
I tune into alot more shows than these but I am starting to get embarrased about the amount of TV I watch so I'm gonna wrap up my tribute to the boob tube!

Were so proud to introduce Maxwell Beckam Mize!!

Born: May 4, 2010 at 2:07 pm
Weight: 8 lbs, 10 oz
Length: 20 inches

I can honestly say that my lifes purpose has been fufilled! I am absolutely in love with this little guy and there are truly no words that can describe the feelings of joy, pride and constant happiness he brings!

Maxwells birthday started with Garry and I going to the hospital. I was scheduled to be induced at 7:00 am on Tuesday morning. We got to the hospital on Monday night and I was nervous, scared and beyond excited for the day to finally be here. At 6:00 am on Tuesday morning I had only dilated to a one so I was getting pretty nervous that this was going to be a really long day! The nurse decided to start the patosin then. The nursing staff at Baylor Frisco was amazing and I instantly felt a bond with each and every nurse who was there to help us. They were all so caring and friendly. When my doctor arrived at 8:30 am, she checked me and I was moving forward and had dilated to a 3. I got my epidural then and by 11:00 I had dilated to an 8! Now, I was getting really excited!! When my doctor came back in at 1:00, I was fully dilated and we were ready to go!!! She told me to just relax and take a quick nap as I was about to do some serious work. My family left the room and it was just Garry and I for the next hour. I knew I was ready and both Garry and I were so excited to meet our new son. When our doctor came back in at 1:55, I started pushing. This next 13 minutes were the most difficult and rewarding time I can think of ever experiencing. I have to say that overall the whole labor experience was much easier than I had imagined. I pictured the experience being complete chaos but really, it was pretty darn easy! 9 pushes and our little guy was here! The minute I laid eyes on him, I knew I would be in love forever. For 9 months I anticipated this moment. He was exactly as I dreamed he would be. Healthy and absolutely gorgeous. These next few moments I spent with Garry and Maxwell were truly blissful. Both of us were so ecstatic that God blessed us with such a perfect little boy. I can truly say it was the BEST day of my life and I would go through it all a million times over if I could!!

Here he is!!! Isn's this picture just precious?? He does this with his little hands ALL the time.. love it!
Up close and personal...I could stare at this kid all day long! Beautiful!
I think he looks JUST like Garry here!! He has his laid back back personality and I absolutely think this picture captures it!
So sweet...like a little angel!

15 days to go!!!!!!

The countdown is really on!!! 2 weeks to go and Garry and I will be a family of three instead of two!!! I really can't articulate how I feel but I will try....nervous, excited, scared, joyful, grateful...I could really go on and on!

This is one of my favorite pics of G and I. So happy! (and I love that we are nerdy enough to match!!)
This pic was taken many moons ago when Jen and I were just single roomies! I can't believe I am pregnant and she has one already and one on the way!!!
Lawdy knows where I found this one but when I did it was labeled "trouble!" No truer words have ever been spoken!!! Who would have thought we would both be pregnant just a couple years after this was taken?? I LOVE being married but I love girl's night out too!! I wonder how long it will be until we have another???

I love this picture of the four of us! I don't know if I've ever seen Jen and Conor so happy! Garry and I weren't married yet and we weren't even thinking about babies! Times are changing! Married and a bun in the oven!

Another pic of the two of us...loving life and having fun! I can't wait to see what the next couple of years brings! I am so excited to embark on this new journey of parenthood!!!

Weekend Project!

With just 15 days until little Maxwell arrives, we are on project lockdown! My honey-do list started out quite long but Garry has come through like a champ! This weekend we finished landscaping the front yard and added stones around both front flower beds. We added two flower beds in the backyard and planted flowers and shrubs there. I love how it all turned out and am so grateful to have such a handy and motivated hubby!!

Baby Shower Bliss #2!

I am so blessed to have such fabulous friends! Jen and Alli threw me a baby shower in OKC a few weeks back and I had a GREAT time!

The three of us are just a few weeks apart! I am 36 weeks, Jen is 32 weeks and Alli is 26 weeks!

Gorgeous hydrangeas and roses that match Max's nursery! Jen's mom prepared the cupcakes. DELICIOUS!

The delicious spread Alli and her sister prepared. Yum!

This memory tree was so precious. Full of pics of Garry and I, Max's first sono pics and fun baby essentials. Jen was in charge of decor and let me tell you, they were so cute and most of them moved right into Max's nursery! This girl's got some skills!

Overall, I had such a fun and exciting day with friends and family. I am so BLESSED!!!
